Retrospektive Analyse von Komplikationen in der gastrointestinalen Endoskopie am Universitätsklinikum Ulm im Zeitraum 2007-2009
Lagaly, Stephanie Aline
In general, adverse events during gastrointestinal endoscopy are not very common ( < 1 % of all examinations) and up to now, there are almost no standardized guidelines how to assess and follow-up the ones that do happen. However, assessment and follow-up of adverse events is extremely helpful for each endoscopy unit to register the incidence of real complications and thereby contribute to quality assurance of the site. This work therefore addresses assessment and follow-up of adverse events during gastrointestinal endoscopy in the Department of Medicine I at Ulm University Hospital between 2007 and 2009 and should provide a framework for future quality assurance studies.
