Besteht ein Zusammenhang zwischen der Compliance der Patienten einer psychiatrischen Institutsambulanz und der zusätzlichen sozialpsychiatrischen Versorgung insbesondere durch den sozialpsychiatrischen Dienst?

Abstract

The improvement of compliance plays an integral role in the treatment of patients with schizophrenia. In this study the compliance and the psychopathology of outpatients in psychiatric treatment were investigated. Correlations between compliance / psychopathology and the additonal social-psychiatric care especially by the social-psychiatric service were examined. The groups of patients with or without social-psychiatric care did not show significant differences regarding compliance. Significant differences were, however, found in psychopathology. The patients with social-psychiatric care did indeed display a significantly higher psychopathology. The compliance of both groups is similar in spite of higher psychopathology among patients with additional social-psychiatric care. Thus, there are indications that social-psychiatric care has a positive effect on compliance of patients suffering from schizophrenia.
