Therapeutische Gesprächsführung und Emotions-/Abstraktionsmuster des Patienten
LicenseStandard (Fassung vom 03.05.2003)
This research explores the relation between therapists and patients’ narratives in the context of emotional cognitive regulation defined by Mergenthaler. - Aim: We wanted to find out if there is special therapeutic intervention. - Method: The data are based on the rating of rating of 40 sessions from 10 therapies. We evolved categories to classify each intervention made by the therapists. These categories were obtained by using a combined qualitative and quantitative use in content analyses and aspects of the theory of systemic functional linguistics. Six categories were developed: 1. Challenge to facts, 2. Challenge to cognition, 3.Challenge to emotion, 4. Challenge to relation emotion with cognition, 5. Challenge to relation cognition with emotion, 6. Other intervention. - Results show us that there exists a relationship between therapeutic intervention (main categories) and Emotion-Abstraction Patterns on the macro level. It is important, how the sequence of specific semantic units follows in a therapeutic intervention, in order to trigger emotional-cognitive regulation.
