The human calcium-activated potassium hSK3 has a function in causing AHP in neurons. The C-tail of the channel is known to bind constitutively calmodulin and being activated by calcium by its binding to calmodulin. Little is known about the function of the N-tail of hSK3. Here we show that the N-tail interacts with the endophilin SH3GL3 in a pull-down-assay and we show that the SH3-domain of SH3GL3 is necessary for this interaction.
