Klinisches Outcome der endovaskulären stentgestützten Therapie bei Pathologien der thorakalen Aorta
LicenseStandard (Fassung vom 03.05.2003)
141 patients with pathologies of the thoracic aorta (aneurysms, type B dissections, traumatic ruptures, penetrating atherosclerotic ulcers of the aorta) have been treated with an endovascular procedure and implantation of an stent graft in the period between July 1995 and April 2005 in the departement of vascular surgery of the university of ulm. These population has disease-specifically and retrospectively been analyzed for procedure-associated complications, e.g. leaks, neurological complications, morbidity and mortality and follow-up-results of the postoperative development. A comparison has been drawn between these results and the clinical outcome of patients who have been operated with stent-implantation in other vascular-surgical centers. Conclusion: Endovascular surgery is a feasable way of treating pathologies of the thoracic aorta.
