Abstract | This thesis aimed at exploring and evaluating aqueous processes for the preparation of LIB components. A porous separator membrane and electrodes were developed using only aqueous processable polymers. Moreover, the binders herein evaluated are obtained from renewable sources and offer lower costs compared to the state of the art binders. The electrode formulations and the materials used in the electrodes (conductive carbon, active materials, current collector) are similar, or even identical, as used in electrode preparation on a pilot scale, which facilitates the transference of the laboratory scale development to a further evaluation at industrial scale. | dc.description.abstract |
