AbstractThis study examined the influence of moderate pretreatment hypothermia on nitrosative and oxidative stress while treating porcine hemorrhagic shock and resuscitation. Parameters of oxidative and nitrosative stress were evaluated in blood and tissue probes at different time points throughout the experiment. Moderate pretreatment hypothermia was associated with less lactic acidosis, nitrosative stress and showed attenuation of organ dysfunction.dc.description.abstract
