Abstract
Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is one of the tools supporting mine detection. In this contribution a wide-band frequency-modulated-continuous wave (FMCW) GPR operating in the frequency band from 0.6 GHz to 4.6GHz in a bistatic configuration is presented. The frequency synthesis is realized using a broadband voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) in a higher frequency band and mixed down to the desired frequency band. The radar including antennas is integrated on a unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). In measurements the effect of vegetation and the frequency dependence is investigated.
