Rigid analytic curves and their Jacobians

Abstract

In this work, we describe the structure of rigid analytic curves and their Jacobians. We provide a more natural proof of the description of the formal fiber of a rigid analytic curve using the normalization of the reduction. Furthermore we describe how one can construct the universal covering of the Jacobian of a rigid analytic curve and give a concrete formula for the lattice that forms the kernel of that covering map.
