This dissertation was the result of the interdisciplinary project SimuVSP founded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Focus of the project is the numerical simulation and optimisation of ship hull geometries with Voith-Schneider-Propeller (VSP). The dissertation is covering the parametric modelling, the simulation and the optimisation.
The development of the geometry model is done with respect to ship hull geometries with VSP. For the simulation of the fluid a finite volume method is used. The control of the model is based on parameters which describe the form of the geometry. The process of simulating and optimising the ship geometry is described. Results are shown.
