Identification and characterization of PKD2 substrates - CIB1A as a substrate for PKD2
LicenseStandard (Fassung vom 01.10.2008)
The aim of this study is to further position PKD2 in the ever expending map of intracellular signal transduction pathways. More specifically we were interested in the role of PKD2 in cell migration and invasion, which are important hallmarks of cancer. Conlusion: Our results demonstrate that calcium and integrin binding protein (CIB1a) functions as a substrate and interaction partner for protein kinase D2 and may further connect PKD2 with processes of migration and invasion in cancer.
