AbstractThis thesis covers the synthesis of peptide-and amino acid-linked oligothiophenes and the investigation of the resulting hybrids especially with respect to their self-assembly in solution and on the surface. Thus, an insight into the influence of competing non-covalent intermolecular forces (van der Waals forces, hydrogen-bonding, pi-pi stacking, hydrophobic interactions, electrostatic forces etc.) on the supramolecular self-assembly of amino acid- and peptide-oligothiophene hybrids in solution and on the surface is gained.dc.description.abstract
