Abstract

Cooling systems in mobile applications require sensors to control and monitor the system. In order to reduce weight and space requirements an integrated temperature sensor was developed. The sensor is integrated into the material of a tube connector, eliminating the need for additional fittings. The temperature measurement from the integrated sensor was compared to a reference sensor inside the fluid. The deviation between the sensors was below 0.4 °C and the dynamic performance of the integrated sensor was equally good.
